Well, this has been a mostly good week. My skin is healing and what is healed is really nice. What is not healed yet is really raw-but it will heal, so it's okay. I have started having some arm swelling, not totally common at my stage of cancer but not unheard of either. The doctor has scheduled a visit with a physical therapist for next month as she is the specialist in this particular side effect. In the meantime if I wrap it in an ace bandage and keep it elevated for long periods of time the swelling goes down. Thursday I was able to go to the temple and that was really nice. I had not gone since April, so it was nice to be back there.
Kiersten and her two short people will be arriving for a visit today. It will be fun to see them as I have only seen Mackenzie, the newest family member, once since she had the nerve to be born the day after I was diagnosed and, doggone, those doctors seemed to feel treating cancer needed to be my top priority. Hopefully Kiersten can rest up for the few days she will be here as while I have been lounging around radiation labs, she has given birth and moved in the last three months. Then again, I remember moving 10 days before Brian was born and we all lived to tell about it. Tomorrow is a family day with everyone coming over to visit and celebrate Tim's 28th birthday, which is actually Wednesday. You know, you never expect to be the parent of an older person when you give birth to a cute cuddly little nubin. It's all good.
