Larry went to the neurologist today and finally has gotten a definitive diagnosis-he has 4th cranial nerve palsy. The good news is it is an inflammation and over time will get better and should leave no residual effects, it causes no permanent damage. The million dollar question is how long will it take? He is doing immensely better than a month ago when this flared up-he is no longer in pain, no more dizziness and the nausea is gone-he just has double vision. The quandary here is does he get glasses with prisms that will help the double vision, but have to get get new ones again in another month when the double vision goes away, or does he just gut it out?
Only he can decide because it's his eyes and his vision. Will keep you posted-
